Captain - Taught by his father who was an avid fisherman, Captain Geoff Bennett learned to fly fish while spending summers in Montana. He feels it’s one of the best gifts he was given by his father and little did he know that one day it would be his profession. Capt. Bennett’s time on the water through the years has instilled in him a respect and appreciation for the outdoors.

Capt. Bennett’s passion quickly expanded to saltwater fishing with both fly rods and light tackle up and down the Eastern Seaboard. He has traveled the world from Belize to New Zealand in search of trophy fish while learning many new skills on each adventure. Along the way, Capt. Bennett realized that putting anglers on fish was just as satisfying as catching them himself. Ultimately, Charleston with its diversity of species and scenic landscape became his favorite place to fish. He looks forward to sharing this experience with you on a fly fishing or light tackle charter fishing trip.

Boat - Capt. Bennett fishes from a 16ft. Hewes Bayfisher. Hewes has long defined excellence in shallow water fishing with over fifty years experience and as one of the originators of the flats boat. Able to fish in under a foot of water this boat can go where most others can’t, maximizing anglers’ opportunities, while the Yahama motor provides the means to get to fishing spots quickly and safely. The bow mounted Minn Kota trolling motor can be easily removed to provide fly casters a flush and tangle free platform. Capt. Bennett’s boat is one of the best suited boats for fishing in the Lowcountry.

Tackle - Capt. Bennett only uses top of the line and well maintained equipment for the ultimate fishing experience. During your charter fishing trip, combinations of premium tackle from G.Loomis, Ross Reels, Sage and Shimano are provided, and neither is there a compromise in lines, hooks, flies or lures. Experienced anglers as well as beginners will find all their needs well met. Anglers who would prefer to fish with their own tackle are more than welcome to bring it aboard.
